Course Overview

The course aims to increase the safety margin of coach drivers, reduce vehicle running costs, upgrade and improve customer service and passenger relations through the application of defensive driving techniques and accepted coach captain practices.

4 - hour Group theory followed by an 8 - hour individual practical segment.

Entry Requirements/Designed For

Participants in this course must have appropriate licence for the bus or coach they drive.

This course is designed for existing coach drivers who need to improve their skills and knowledge. This course can assist employers fulfil their OH&S duty of care to ensure that their employees are adequately trained for the job they perform.

Certification

A Training Statement of Attainment and Driver Evaluation report shall be issued at completion of the course to those participants who demonstrate competence to the national standards.
